This advancement in cosmetic medicine significantly smooths the skin and improves texture and tone for men, women and teenagers. Improvement is typically noticeable after the first treatment. This involves the application of a photo sensitive topical which is later activated, or turned on, by a combination of lights which rejuvenate all the layers of the skin. Typically three treatments 4-6 weeks apart provide optimal results.

We recommend that you have an Epionce™ skin care regimen suited to your skin type and condition. Which includes using an Epionce™ sunscreen daily for your post treatment at home
If you are traveling from a distance greater than 30-45 minutes driving time, please bring someone to drive you home following your treatment. You will be asked to sit in the back seat with something to cover the treated area to limit additional sun exposure, even if it’s cloudy. This may change depending on the season. Please discuss your travel plans with the Esthetician before your procedure.
What to Expect Prior to Treatment
Your skin will be prepared and cleansed with a cleanser to remove any make-up or skin care followed by an application of acetone. Then the area is treated with Microdermabrasion. The Esthetician will then apply mandatory eye protection.
What to Expect During Treatment
The photo sensitive topical, or PDT, is applied and left on the treated area for a set amount of time. This is referred to as the “incubation time.” You may experience a mild stinging for a short period of time after application. PDT products will incubate for 30 minutes or longer. This time is determined by one of our Medical Providers. A combination of IPL and LED lights are used to activate the PDT product.
What to Expect After Treatment
Your skin may feel tight and warm like a sun burn. If needed, cooling measures can be taken to decrease any discomfort immediately following the treatment. A layer of the Epionce™ Priming Oil and Enriched Firming Mask will be applied to the treated area prior to leaving the MedSpa. We ask that you avoid direct sunlight for the first 48 hours, avoid the application of make-up for 18 hours, and if you smoke, that you refrain for 24 hours.
At Home Care
All the products needed for immediate recovery will be provided. It is recommended that you cleanse the treated area about every 12 hours with Epionce™ Milky Lotion Cleanser starting the day following your treatment. After cleansing, or if the treated area begins to feel dry, apply Epionce™ Priming Oil and Epionce™ Enriched Firming Mask. Continue using this for the first two days after your treatment, applying it as often as needed. We recommend keeping the mask in your refrigerator for the first couple of days for a cooling effect. Beginning on the third day after your treatment, we recommend that you apply Epionce™ Medical Barrier Cream 3-10 times a day for the next 2-3 days. The first application may sting a little, if so cleanse and apply the Epionce™ Priming Oil. Always remember to generously apply Epionce™ Ultra Shield Lotion SPF 50 twice a day at least 30 minutes apart.
