LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
The QX MAX system is the most advanced laser technology on the market today. It has the power to remove a broad spectrum of tattoo colors. The laser affects the tattoo with very short and strong laser pulses that penetrate deep into the skin, without injuring the top layers. These pulses are then absorbed by the pigment; this breaks the ink up into smaller partials that are naturally absorbed by the body’s natural immune system. The number of treatments depends on the size, depth and color of the tattoo.
We recommend that you have an Epionce™ regimen suited for your skin type and condition and use an Epionce™ sunscreen daily.
What to Expect Prior to Treatment
Your skin will be prepared and cleansed to remove any make-up or skin care. A topical anesthetic will be applied, or injections may be administered by one of our medical providers to numb the area. The topical anesthetic will be removed right before the treatment. Protective eyewear will be provided.
What to Expect During Treatment
The energy from this treatment is delivered in pulses. Each pulse lasts less than a second. This may feel warm or hot. Each pulse may feel like a hard snap of a rubber band. Discomfort usually goes away a couple minutes after each pulse. The treatment area will turn white with a steam bubble that will subside after 10-15 minutes.
What to Expect After Treatment
Ice packs are used to cool the skin. Epionce™ Priming Oil, Epionce™ Medical Barrier Cream or Epionce™ Enriched Firming Mask and Epionce™ Ultra Shield Lotion SFP 50 will be applied to the treated areas. Apply ice to treatment area on and off for about 6 hours. We ask that you avoid hot showers, exercise and direct sun exposure for the first 24 hours.
At Home Care
It is recommended that you cleanse the treated area every 12 hours with a gentle cleanser such as Epionce™ Milky Lotion Cleanser for the first 2-3 days. After cleansing apply Epionce™ Enriched Firming Mask or Epionce™ Medial Barrier Cream followed by two applications of Epionce™ Ultra Shield Lotion SPF 50 with the second application applied 30 minutes after the first one.
What You Should Know
If you experience any redness after your treatment it should fade within 2 days. If a small blister occurs treat with polysporin and call the office.
